Questions? I'm here to help!

When will we receive our images and how many will I get?
They will be delivered via online gallery within three weeks of your session unless otherwise stated in your contract. Short sessions start at 20 images and full sessions come with 35 (and a sneak peek!), but the option to upgrade to your full gallery is always available!

Do you do any extensive photoshop edits?
I will edit your photos for color and style as I see fit and I will remove a blemish/cut or minor stray hair here and there. I also will remove people or distracting objects from the background if that is needed.

Can our dog participate?
Of course! If we'll be at your home, there aren't any issues. If we plan to be outdoors, we'll just make sure the location we choose allows them. It can be helpful to have a plan for when their time in the spotlight is over. I usually suggest bringing a helper to take them on a walk so your family isn't distracted.

Do you offer styling help?
I am always willing to provide feedback on your wardrobe choices, just sent me a quick text or email! Here’s a direct link to my Pinterest page too, which I use for inspiration (but could also be helpful for wardrobe ideas).

My family is super awkward, will you help us pose?
I provide prompts and suggestions, but try not to to do unnaturally posed photos. I have no problem moving limbs into more flattering angles and telling you when something is looking awkward though!

What happens if it rains?
It can be such a bummer for bad weather to control our outdoor time together, but we will chat leading up to your session and make a plan together. The weather here in Minnesota is very unpredictable so I don't like to make a final decision until the night before or even the day of. I am happy to reschedule if it looks like rain or extreme wind or heat, but if your family is up for stomping in puddles with clear umbrellas, then so am I!

Can you recreate a photo I found on Pinterest?
While I love to gain inspiration from Pinterest, I don't attempt to recreate photos because it will feel stiff and posed. Trust me to come up with fun things for your family to do and help you to feel comfortable together. That will produce the best photos, I promise.

Is there anything I shouldn’t wear?
There's a more in-depth email coming about this, but here are a few pointers. Avoid ill-fitting clothing, small patterns with contrasting colors, patterns that are too trendy that they date your photos, graphics (words, logos, and characters), neon colors on anything (even the soles of shoes), athletic shoes (but nice chucks are fine), and too much matching.
